Herminio F. Gonzalez

Mr. Gonzalez is currently a project director for Atkins Global North America, Mr. Gonzalez currently serves as a member of the Florida Building Code Commission appointed by the Governor and ratified by the Senate, Chairman of the Code Administration Committee, member of the State Product Oversight Committee and State Education. Mr. Gonzalez was named Building Official of the Year 2002 by the South Florida Building Official Council.  Past President of the Minority Chamber of Commerce for 2005. Recognized by the National Hurricane Center as a recipient of the “Outstanding Achievement Award” in 2003. Member of the University of Miami Industrial Advisory Board in Engineering and Miami Dade College as well as other trades organizations.

Mr. Gonzalez also served as former Director of Miami-Dade Building Code & Compliance directing code compliance functions county wide. Mr. Gonzalez has also served as a liaison between the Miami Dade Building Code Department, Police, State, and Emergency Operations Centers.  Mr. Gonzalez provides Safer Compass, Inc. with great value on recommending new developments on safety products, developing training standards, and developing site accreditation standards for facilities utilizing the Z.E.R.O. program.
